In between the Sorrento coast and the coast named after it, Amalfi is a wonderful shrine of Mediterranean architecture. The buildings holds a breathtaking mix of Italian and Arab style and it is pleasure to walk up and down the alleys and get lost in this magic atmosphere. Center of the town is the St. Andrew cathedral, a 9th century dome with a unique Arab-Norman Romanesque style. No wonder the whole area is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
