Vietri Sul Mare is renowned purely for it’s many ceramic factories and over 20 stores that specialize solely in colorful creations of clay, molded into the most artistic forms, although be careful; we highly recommend that you compare prices of every item in each store as different shops are usual to sell the same products for different prices! This quaint little town is located 15 minutes from the city centre of Salerno, is decorated with wall mosaics and have even tiled their cathedral with majolica (decorative pottery), in order to represent the nature of the town.
